ALL INDIA FEDERATION OF THE DEAF

AIFD is an apex body of different affiliated organizations of the deaf spread all over

India and serves the deaf community in elevating their living quality.

Globally, it works with World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) Helsinki, Finland,

which is affiliated to UNESCO, UNICEF and ILO of United Nations Organization (UNO).

The federation was set up on 22nd December 1955……

MPTCD

Mutipurpose Training Centre for the Deaf.

Deaf students aged between 14-30 years are offered training in different trades. Presently, it runs 4 main trades, e.g. Computer-Graphics, (PGR & PGA), Photography, Fitter & Turner and Cutting & Sewing.

All India Federation of the Deaf Youth Section

As per Directed by the World Federation of the Deaf, Helsinki in 2011 that WFD has their own Youth Section, AIFD estabilished its own Youth Section on 22nd December 2022…

AHD

AIFD Hostel for Deaf.

AIFD runs ‘AIFD Hostel for the Deaf’ at the same campus for the deaf boys and girls with separate enclosures. Students from far-flung areas can use the facility for study purposes only.
