Hannah Sen
1955 - 1957
Hannah Sen (1894–1957) was an Indian educator, politician, and feminist. She was a member of the first Indian Rajya Sabha (upper house of Parliament) from 1952 to 1957 and she was the first hearing President of the All India Federation of the Deaf in 1955-57. She also represented India at the UN Commission in the Status of Women and at UNESCO and was an advisor to the Indian Government on the rehabilitation of women and children refugees after the Partition of India.
Sucheta Kriplani

Sucheta Kriplani (1908-1974) was born in Ambala, Punjab, she had also become a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. From 1960 to 1963, she served as Minister of Labour, Community Development, and Industry in the UP government. In October 1963, she became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, she was the first woman to hold that position in any Indian state. She was the second hearing President of All India Federation of the Deaf.

Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa OBE (1899–1993) was the first Indian Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Indian Army. He led Indian forces on the Western Front during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. He was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army in 1949. He was the fourth hearing President of All India Federation of the Deaf and donated the building construction cost of AIFD’s Project: Multipurpose Training Centre for the Deaf, New Delhi, India

Surrendar Saini (1928-) is an Indian social worker and the chairperson of the Delhi Social Welfare Advisory Board and She was a member of the committee set up by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in 1999 for proposing amendments to the Persons with Disabilities Act of 1995. The Government of India awarded her the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1970, for her contributions to society. She was the fifth hearing President of All India Federation of the Deaf

Tapan Kumar Sarma is a Deaf Railway Employee in Assam, Guwahati. He is been awarded by the President of India for National Award 1991 also he is been Working with the AIFD for the last 25 years. Also, he is the General Secretary of the Assam Association of the Deaf. He was the First Deaf President and sixth President of All India Federation of the Deaf.
